Aboriginal Elder scrutinised by lawyers in Muckaty case (Week 2)
The indigenous elder who brought a case to the federal court to stop a nuclear waste dump being built on Aboriginal land has been heavily scrutinised by Northern Land Council lawyers. The team has asserted Mark Lane is not a traditional owner of Muckaty Station where the commonwealth plans to build the facility with the blessing of the Ngapa people.
